Peace and Development

Since 2002, when Sierra Leone's conflict was officially declared over, the UNDP has worked with the Government of Sierra Leone, humanitarian and development partners to restore state authority across the country, and to help people and communities to reintegrate and rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

  • Rehabilitation of administrative and social infrastructure damaged during the war

  • Reintegration and resettlement of returning populations and ex-combatants
